Cavitation jet technology has broad application prospects in the field of underwater cleaning.

It has the following four major advantages:

1. High efficiency. Cavitation jet technology can remove various dirt and marine organisms on the surface of underwater facilities in a short time, such as seaweed, shells, molluscs, corals, etc. The cleaning rate is much higher than traditional manual scrapers, high-pressure water jets, and sandblasting etc. According to statistics, cavitation jet technology can clean about 1,000 square meters of hull surface per hour, while high-pressure water jet technology can only clean about 100 square meters. Cavitation jet technology can also clean objects of different shapes and materials, such as ship propellers, rudders, seabed doors, stabilizers, reinforcement ribs and pipeline interiors.

2. Safety. The water flow pressure used by cavitation jet technology is low, generally between 10-30MPa, which will not cause harm to operators or damage to underwater facilities. Cavitation jet technology can also protect the existing anti-corrosion layer on the surface of the facility without damaging the coating or base material like high-pressure water jets or sandblasting. In addition, cavitation jet technology can also reduce corrosion and biological pollution of underwater facilities, extending their service life and maintenance cycles.

3. Environmental protection. Cavitation jet technology uses natural water sources without adding any chemicals or consumable materials, and will not cause pollution to the water. In contrast, traditional sandblasting or high-pressure water jet methods will produce a large amount of wastewater and waste materials, containing paint, rust and other harmful substances, which are very harmful to the environment. Cavitation jet technology can also reduce the resistance and fuel consumption of ships during operation, reduce carbon dioxide emissions, and is beneficial to energy conservation and emission reduction.

 4. Saving. Cavitation jet technology can save a lot of manpower, material resources and time costs, and improve work efficiency and economic benefits. Since cavitation jet technology does not require the facility to be dragged ashore or docked for cleaning, it can be operated directly underwater, saving docking costs and downtime losses. The equipment used in cavitation jet technology can also be reused multiple times.
